Bio-waste to energy - UK support for the Philippines

We're delighted to report that through our association with Living Earth (www.livingearth.ltd) we have received support from the UK Government's Darwin Initiative (http://www.darwininitiative.org.uk/) to work with local partners to examine the case for a new social enterprise. The new business we're looking at is using 'bio-waste' to generate cleaner, 'greener' energy and support local, rural poor people in their development whilst helping to take the pressure off illegal, non-sustainable sources of energy such as wood from primary forests.

It's all part of our approach to address forest loss on Negros through supporting sustainable development and gender equality.
